Grid Options – Great accessories and choices for a super open office look.
Today we discuss Grid Options, the extras you can add to Grid for additional privacy, sound absorption, personal lighting, storage options, and work place accessories.
About the Grid Frames
First, a little about the frames themselves. All frames are 2.5” wide, anodized aluminum. Three heights are available, Mini, Frame and Mega. Heights depend upon the placement of the power and data (above or below the work surface). A typical topper screen is 11” high. Modesty panels (below the frames, are 12” high steel with slots.

Grid Tiles – Fabric, Acrylic, Whiteboards, Laminates, and Wood give you complete design options for your personal taste and needs.
Grid Tiles
Tiles – that go above the frame (topper screen) can be full acrylic, full magnetic whiteboard, upper acrylic, upper magnetic white board, full fabric, full whiteboard, upper fabric, upper whiteboard, full laminate, full wood, upper laminate and upper wood – a cornucopia of options to achieve virtually any look you want.
Grid Worksurface Support
Next, you have several options for the work surface support. You can have end panels, “O” legs, “T-legs” and Straight Legs.
Grid Power Options
The Grid system is powered by a 5-wire, 2-circuit power system. Frames can ordered in 1 or 2 sided power. Each frame has 2 power outlets and 2 data outlets per user. Power and Data can be laid in optional channels, and can be routed thought the base via either T-Legs or Straight legs. If you don’t have convenient power and data access at floor level, you can also use a power pole to bring power and data in from the ceiling.
Grid Work Tools
Worktools, to keep the workspace neat and organized include accessory trays, folder trays, phone holders, pencil holders, and paper trays, all of which can be conveniently attached to the grid, keeping these items off the workspace.
Grid Storage Options
Routine storage is also well thought out with the Grid System. Available items include a Mobile Cubby Storage, a Lower Bookcase, and a Mobile Pad that fit below the work surfaces. Above the work surfaces you can install Folder/Binder/Book Storage (Grid 45) or document/folders (Grid 46) and between workstations, you can add a TS Series Tower that has file storage, binder storage, and even a mini coat closet for tasteful, convenient storage.
As you can see, the Grid System looks “different”. It is flexible, provides for smaller footprint, and is a great answer for someone who doesn’t want cubicles or benching products.
